2006-02-26 Saturday Night at the Jolly Roger

Will Saturday night at the Jolly Roger has come and gone, if you missed it don't worry there is still next weekend.
They always have great food and cold drinks with friendly staff that helps make you evening enjoyable.
I always look forwards to eating some great food and listening to reggae music provided by Earl and the Reggae Allstars.
Every time I go there I see some of the same faces but there is always new ones mixed in the crowd too.
It is so nice to hear the different voices at the microphone as different people take the microphone to sing, sometimes solo sometimes with Earl. You never know what the sound and feel of the music going to be as it changes with the crowd and molds itself to fit the moment. Musicans sit in and play with bringing a new and diffferent feel to the music. Evan the reggae allstars members change positions with one another adding a new feel and sound for the moment.
One thing that never changes is that what ever the music,drinks or food brings to the night everyone involved at the Jolly Roger always makes your night feel like the best night of your weekend.
You may wonder if it can get any better than this but the next time you go there is a new crowd on fresh faces of all ages and nationalitys and a new feeling that they bring with them. The oppertunity to meet people from all over the world and see people brought into harmony by the music is always there.

Ok here I am in they picture. I think I had better just stay behind the camera. I would hate to ruin a good picture of the sexy ladies but the males around there want me in the picture.

Hello eveyone I hope that everyone has had a great weekend. Here are a few pictures that I shot at the Jolly Roger.

Earl and Reggae Allstars were having fun tonight at the Jolly Roger performing their reggae music.

If you have never been to the Jolly Roger come down and try the food they have excellent food.

Try the Jello shots and don't forget to smile to the servers and tip them they work hard for you providing you with your food and drink.

Remember at the Jolly Roger they say nobody has more fun than we do and they mean it.

If you enjoy smiling and seeing people smile this is the place.

Will its still freezing at my place,but the deer do not seem to mind the cold as much as I do.
The momma deer and her twins seemed to very happy. They let me take several pictures of them and then they laid down for a nap near my house.
I do enjoy seeing them. I have been watching this momma and her twins since they were first born. They seem to be getting tamer as time marches on. I hope that they will survive and never be hunted when they leave my place where they are safe.

I took a few pictures at the Jolly Roger tonight while I had some dinner and relaxed a bit

This birthday girl was kicking up her heels and enjoying herself tonight.

Its Friday night and I was down at Jax Bar Listening to some jazz music where I took a few pictures of the Hank Hirsh Quintet playing some smooth sounds of jazz.

I found myself going downtown to Jax Bar in downtown Portland to listen to some jazz music.
Feinstein Trio was performing tonight as will as several other people that sat in for a short while.
